The wooden body
Everything starts with the panel. Our tabletops and carcases are built from solid beech — a close-grained hardwood chosen for how hard it is and how well it takes a knock. Each panel is made by joining narrower staves of beech into one board, which keeps it stable across its width. It is still wood, though: it breathes, and it responds to heat, humidity and light. That is not a flaw. It is the reason the surface keeps changing character instead of staying flat and dead.

Solid legs
The legs are what hold all of that together. We turn them from the same solid beech in 3 cm and 5 cm diameters, sized to the piece they carry. Beech is stiff enough that a table does not develop that slight wobble cheaper frames pick up after a year of being leaned on. Everything joins without tools, and it can be taken apart and put back together again without loosening.

Natural oils
Surfaces are finished with oils and waxes made from natural resins and beeswax rather than a plastic film. The difference is easy to feel: an oiled surface still reads as wood under your hand, and when it eventually picks up a mark you can refresh that spot instead of resurfacing the whole top.

High-resilience foam
Seat comfort is mostly a question of whether the foam holds its shape. We use 35-density high-resilience foam, which sits in the sweet spot between soft enough to want to sit on and firm enough that it does not flatten into a hollow where everyone sits. It springs back rather than compressing permanently, so the seat you buy is roughly the seat you have in five years.

Upholstery fabric
For seating and cushioned pieces we choose fabrics on weight and rub resistance rather than on how they photograph. A heavier weave simply survives daily life better — it resists pilling, holds its color and does not go thin at the front edge of a cushion. There are 22 colors across two families, linen and velvet, and you can order swatches before you commit.

Made to order
Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting for a buyer. Your piece is built after you order it and leaves our workshop within 10 business days — which is also why there is no clearance rail of last season’s finishes.

Assembles without tools
Everything ships flat with numbered parts and a one-page diagram. It goes together in minutes, by hand, and it comes apart just as easily when you move — as many times as you need.

Browse the solid beech collection. No two boards carry the same grain, so no two pieces are quite identical.
Looking after it

Keep it out of direct sun. Strong light will lighten beech unevenly over a few seasons.

Wipe spills straight away with a soft dry cloth. Standing liquid is the one thing an oiled surface genuinely minds.

Keep it away from radiators and out of damp rooms. Wood moves when the air around it swings between extremes.

Use coasters and mats under anything hot or wet. Cheaper than refinishing a ring later.

Clean with a barely damp cloth, then dry it. Skip solvents and anything abrasive.

Once a year, refresh the surface with a natural wood-care oil. Ten minutes, and the top looks new again.
